Questions

What people ask before they start.

If your question is not here, ask it in a confidential consultation. A person reads every message and decides what is sent back.

Starting

Do you need my password?

No. No one at Unscathed, and no tool we use, holds your password or types a code for you. A code sent to your phone or email is for you alone. If anyone asks you to read one aloud or forward it, including someone who says they are from Unscathed, it is a scam: hang up and contact us through this site.

What do you need from me to begin?

A conversation about what is going on, then a signed engagement agreement and an authorization that lets us file requests on your behalf. You can sign the authorization in your client portal. For erasure, we ask for the names you have used, your current and past addresses, and the phone numbers and email addresses you want removed. Some sites ask for proof that a request is really yours; we tell you which ones, and you decide.

Who will I be working with?

A person, from the first conversation to the close of the engagement. We use software for the repetitive parts, such as sending requests to data brokers and drafting our first reply to an inquiry, and a person checks the results and makes every decision that affects you.

How much does it cost?

Starting prices for each engagement are on the pricing page. You receive a written quote before any work begins.

Erasure

Can you remove everything about me?

No, and no honest service can. Sites, search engines, and government offices make their own decisions. Court records, news reporting, and some public records stay public by law. What we can do is request removal from every source that lists you, verify what comes down, and make what remains much harder to find and connect to you.

How long does removal take?

Each source has its own timing. Some remove a listing within days, some take weeks, and some only accept a request by mail. Your client portal shows where each request stands and what is waiting on whom.

Will the listings come back?

Many do. Data brokers buy and copy records continuously, so a removed listing can reappear. That is why erasure is a year of work: each source is checked again on a schedule, and filed again when a listing returns.

Is this a way to hide from someone I owe?

No. Erasure is privacy and safety. We do not help anyone avoid a court, a creditor, law enforcement, or a legal obligation, and we decline engagements that look like that.

Restoration

Someone took over my account. What should I do first?

Contact us from a device and an account the other person has never accessed. Do not change passwords yet: the order matters, and the primary email comes first. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. The account recovery page explains how a recovery runs.

Can you get my account back?

We cannot promise it. Every provider makes its own decision. We know their processes, prepare each request, run it with you step by step, and keep a dated record of every attempt, which matters if the case goes further.

Will you fix my credit?

We are not a credit repair service. Credit freezes, fraud alerts, and credit bureau disputes are free, and you place them yourself. We tell you which ones to place, in what order, and check that each one took.

Your information

How do you keep my information?

Client records are held in a separate, access-controlled case system, encrypted, and never on this website. What we hold, for how long, and who may see it are set out in your engagement agreement. We do not name our clients, and we do not publish testimonials or case stories.

Do you use AI?

Yes, for drafting and reading, never for deciding. An AI model drafts our first reply to an inquiry, and may read images you send for your case to suggest what goes in your file. A person checks every draft and every suggestion before anything is sent or recorded. The privacy page says more.

Is our conversation privileged?

A consultation is confidential, but unlike a conversation with your attorney it is not legally privileged. If privilege matters to you, ask your attorney whether they should engage us directly.

Are you a law firm or an investigator?

Neither. We are not a law firm, a forensics firm, a private investigator, or an insurer. Where a matter is legal, we work with the attorney you choose.
